Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal was caught by Movistar’s cameras mocking teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold after the British didn’t track back on one play during the match against Betis.
It has been a frustrating season for Carvajal, whose contract expires this summer and appears to be on his way out of the club. The Spanish defender hasn’t been playing a relevant role since Arbeloa took over, something which will likely prevent him from making Spain’s list for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
As the captain, his leadership hasn’t been there either. Real Madrid’s culture hasn’t been a positive one this year and Carvajal, along with some other veterans, could have stopped that from happening.
