Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs has won the 2025-26 Magic Johnson Award, which honors the NBA player who best combines excellence on the court with cooperation and grace in dealing with the media and fans, the Professional Basketball Writers Association announced today. Wembanyama averaged 25 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and a league-leading 3.1 blocks per game this season and was named an All-Star for the second time. Off the court, Wembanyama consistently fostered an atmosphere of mutual respect and openness with reporters who cover the NBA.
