In the run-up to the very last Dutch Grand Prix, Red Bull Racing has unveiled new race suits in a tribute to Zandvoort and the Max Verstappen's home race.
Verstappen’s suit differs from teammate Isack Hadjar’s. The Dutchman’s otherwise black suit features orange accents on the shoulders. On Hadjar’s, the shoulders are not orange but white. The starting numbers of both drivers, 3 and 6, are rendered as a wave, a nod to Zandvoort’s location by the beach.
In the team’s announcement video, it’s said that special moments call for special suits. The white race suits for the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix and the special suit for the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix both make an appearance in the clip.
Earlier this week, Verstappen himself already revealed a tribute to the Dutch GP. The Dutchman unveiled a special helmet that he will race with this coming weekend. The helmet features Delft blue accents, making it a tribute to the Netherlands.
On his own Instagram account, Verstappen reflected on the Grands Prix in the Netherlands. "For my last home race. Dankjewel Zandvoort." His team, Red Bull Racing, responded to the post. "A special helmet for a special race. Ready for one last charge around Zandvoort." Fans also have the option to purchase a scale model of the helmet.
Verstappen also launched a special clothing line, entirely in the Delft blue theme of his helmet. "A very special collection for the Dutch Grand Prix, in harmony with Max’s special helmet." The clothing line proved so popular that it sold out in no time.
Fans complained online that their favourite size was no longer available. The collection consists of a hoodie, sweater, bag, coffee mug, and pencil case. In the meantime, items can be pre-ordered again.
