It's a busy for Vermont soccer fans with there being as many as three Vermont Green FC soccer games throughout the weekend spanning from July 17-19. (Don't forget the World Cup final between Argentina and Spain takes place on Sunday, July 19.)
The biggest game of the weekend takes place Saturday, July 18 when the Vermont Green women's team plays in the USL W final against Salmon Bay FC in Seattle. It marks the second straight year a Vermont Green team has made the final after the men's team captured the 2025 USL League Two title.
The Vermont Green men's team starts its own playoff run this weekend as well, hosting the Round of 32 and Round of 16 games at Virtue Field. The Green men's team opens the playoffs against Ironbound SC on Friday, July 17. If tickets are sold-out fans can watch for free behind the north goal.

The inaugural USL W season for the Vermont Green women's team has been better than advertised after advancing to the final in its first full season of existence. The Green (9-0-4) are the last undefeated team standing in the league and will play Salmon Bay FC at Interbay Stadium in Seattle.
Surprisingly there is some history between these club's owners. Salmon Bay FC is the female counterpart to Ballard FC, who was the Green's opponent in the 2025 USL League Two final.
Salmon Bay FC enters the USL W final with a 12-1-2 record and advanced to the final after defeating Minnesota Aurora on penalty kicks. Salmon Bay has won two of its three playoff contests on penalty kicks while Vermont Green have not conceded a goal in the postseason. Both teams are looking for their first USL W title.

Vermont Green secured back-to-back undefeated seasons and Northeast Division titles for the first time in club history.
Ironbound qualified for the playoffs for the first time after finishing second in the Metropolitan Division and heads to Burlington after beating New England FC 3-0 in the Eastern Conference first round matchups on Tuesday, July 14.
The winner of this game will play the winner of Ocean City Nor'easters (13-0-1) and FC Mowtown (10-1-1) in the Round of 16 on Sunday, July 19. Kickoff for the Round of 16 match at Virtue Field is set for 7 p.m.
