BERESFORD, S.D. (KELO) — Vermillion Post 1 Legion baseball hit the road to Beresford Thursday night and came away with a solid victory over Post 72.
This game began a little over an hour after it was scheduled to start, but that didn’t stop the offenses in the first inning with Vermillion putting up a three spot while Beresford clawed one back.
The remainder of the game was mostly all Post 1 as they continued to push runs across the plate and entered the bottom of the seventh with a 10-3 lead.
Beresford scored two in the bottom of the seventh to make the final score a little better, but it was Vermillion coming away the victors, 10-6 was the final.
Up next, Vermillion travels to Colton Post 206 on Monday while Beresford heads to Lake Norden the same day.
