EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The USI Screaming Eagles fall just short in a heartbreaking, 69-67, loss to Lindenwood.

Ali Saunders poured in 30 points in the effort, but missed a potential game-tying shot at the buzzer.

“We had a couple turnovers late, a few fouls we could get rid of late, and if we do that maybe it’s a W for us tonight,” head coach Rick Stein said. “It hurts. It hurts to lose and it hurts to lose at home. We lost a few in a row at home, and we have to find a way to get a W on Saturday.”

The Screaming Eagles look to avoid a three game skid on Jan. 31 against SIUE.
