A brash, fast-talking used car salesman wants to leave the business world and enter politics. First, though, he must help his boss save his used car lot from being taken over by his malicious and unscrupulous brother, who runs a rival used car lot directly across the highway.

Starring: Kurt Russell, Jack Warden
Directed by: Robert Zemeckis
Runtime: 1 hour 53 minutes
Release year: 1980
Studio: Columbia Pictures

I recently watched it. Silly over-the-top 80's movie. It was filmed here in Mesa/Tempe.

Plenty of good one-liners in this one.

Roy L. Fuchs: I'll tell you something. This country is going to the dogs. You know, it used to be when you bought a politician, that son of a bitch stayed bought.

Delightful silliness. The "Marshall Lucky" sequence is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Great, great, nonsensical fun! 4 out of 5 stars.
