On Saturday, USC held its 15th and final practice of the spring. With the session complete, the Trojans’ 2025 spring camp is now in the books.

Traditionally, the end of spring practice coincides with the team’s spring game in the Coliseum. However, USC announced earlier this offseason that the Trojans would not hold a normal spring game in 2025, meaning that spring ball came to a relatively unceremonious end from a fan’s perspective.

Instead, the team held a “Trojan Olympics” in the Coliseum. The event featured practice competitions and visits from numerous high-profile recruits.

With USC getting closer to finals, activity for the football team will be more limited over the next few weeks. The Trojans will then get into summer conditioning in May as they build up to the start of summer preseason camp.

One reason USC and Lincoln Riley didn't hold a spring game is that they didn't want other coaches to watch a game on television and scout prospects for the portal. We will see how this decision does -- or doesn't -- affect USC football in the coming weeks and months. It will be fascinating to measure the value of USC's move and what it did -- or didn't -- achieve.
