The United States Men’s National Team get their first warm up match for the 2026 World Cup today when they take on Senegal at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. The USMNT haven’t been on the field since they lost to Belgium and Portugal in March, and today’s match is the first of two sendoff matches the team will have before they head to California for their final World Cup prep.
It’s the first time the United States Men’s National Team has ever lined up against Senegal, who are ranked 14th in the world and are always a dangerous team. With attackers like Sadio Mané and Nicholas Jackson pacing them, it will be a truly tough test for the USMNT to earn a result.
More importantly, it’s the first chance for fans to see this team as they begin their World Cup journey, and the pressure will be on to show that this team is ready to compete with the best teams in the world and can have a successful tournament.
