Mar. 10—GRAND FORKS — Jake Sanderson could be out of the lineup for a while for the Ottawa Senators.

Sanderson left Saturday night's game against the Seattle Kraken with an upper-body injury after sustaining a hit into the boards by Kraken defenseman Brandon Montour.

Sanderson skated off the ice, grabbing his shoulder. No penalty was called on the play.

Senators coach Travis Green said Sanderson is "week to week."

that his absence will be at least two weeks.

It could be a costly loss for Ottawa.

Sanderson is 10th in the NHL in defenseman scoring with 48 points in 62 games. He's Ottawa's time-on-ice leader at 24:49. He ranks eighth among all NHL players in average time on ice.

Ottawa is currently five points behind Boston for the last Stanley Cup Playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Sanderson recently won an Olympic gold medal with Team USA in Milan, Italy.

Center Shane Pinto scored two goals and tallied four points during a pair of victories for the Ottawa Senators over the weekend. Pinto has 17 goals and 34 points in 53 games this season.

Fargo's Tyler Kleven scored his second goal of the season Saturday for the Ottawa Senators in a 7-4 win over Seattle. Kleven has two goals and 12 points in 57 NHL games this season.

Winger Brock Boeser has scored three goals in his last three games for the Vancouver Canucks. Boeser had a two-goal game Friday against Chicago.

Winger Jackson Blake scored two goals for the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday against Edmonton. He has seven points in his last seven games.

Forward Jake Schmaltz and defenseman Christian Wolanin both scored for the Providence Bruins during their comeback win over Hershey in the AHL on Sunday. Schmaltz scored the game-tying goal with 2:50 to go in the third period.

Grand Forks native Judd Caulfield had a two-assist game Saturday for San Diego. He has four assists in his last four games.

Grand Forks native Jackson Kunz scored a goal and tallied three points in three games this weekend for Kalamazoo in the ECHL. Kunz has six points in the last six games.

Cam Johnson is the ECHL's Goaltender of the Week after going 3-0 with two shutouts and a .984 save percentage last week. The Florida Everblades netminder is on a hot streak right now. In his last 10 starts, he's 9-0-1 with a .963 save percentage and three shutouts. He leads the ECHL in wins (22) and goals-against average (1.85) this season.

Forward Drake Caggiula scored goals in back-to-back games this weekend for Lausanne in Switzerland's top league. Caggiula has 16 goals and 29 points in 45 games for Lausanne.

Devils Lake's Keaton Thompson scored his eighth goal of the season Sunday for Wolfsburg in Germany's top league. Thompson has 22 points in 49 games for Wolfsburg.

Grand Forks native Dane Montgomery's season in Stuttgart, Germany, is over. Montgomery, who played defense and served as team captain, tallied 13 goals and 59 points in 50 games for Stuttgart, which plays in Germany's third league. He finished second on his team in scoring.

Forward Ashton Schultz scored a goal and tallied four points this weekend for Sioux City in the United States Hockey League. Schultz has nine points in eight games since being traded from Chicago to Sioux City.
