The North Carolina Tar Heels and Oklahoma Sooners will meet in Game 1 of the 2026 College World Series on Saturday afternoon in Omaha. The Tar Heels are looking for their first ever title while the Sooners are looking for their first since 1994.
In a game that was originally scheduled for Saturday evening, the start time was moved up. First pitch is now set for 3 p.m. ET to brace for the weather coming in.

The outfielder goes up and makes a big play to save a double and possibly more.
The Diamond Heels get three runs in the bottom of the first to take the lead. Gavin Gallaher drove in two with a single and then Collin Hynek had a sac fly. UNC had the bases loaded with one out but couldn't get more than three.
The Sooners get two runs in the first inning including a home run from Deiten Lachance to go up 2-0.
