UNC baseball made it to the final game of the 2026 season at the College World Series.

Despite finishing with 54 wins to match the third-most victories in program history, there’s no rest for coach Scott Forbes and the Tar Heels as they look ahead to 2027.

As UNC chases a third trip to Omaha in the last four years, the transfer portal and NIL continue to be a major part of roster building. In their last two CWS appearances, the Tar Heels have been able to turn portal additions into valuable pieces that paved the road to Omaha.
