The first year under new head coach Michael Malone will begin in just a few short months. After a disappointing end to last season, the Tar Heels moved in a new direction and are ushering in a new era.
Malone's team will be tested early after he's navigated the transfer portal and recruiting cycle the past few months.
While we don't have the full schedule just yet, parts of it are starting to be revealed. On Thursday night, college basketball analyst Jon Rothstein reported the matchups for the upcoming ACC/SEC challenge. For North Carolina, they will be at home this year and will host Arkansas.
Below is the reported list of games:
The Razorbacks are expected to be one of the top teams in the country once again this season. They are coming off another trip to the NCAA Tournament, making the Sweet 16 before losing to Arizona.
For the Tar Heels, they were on the road last year for this challenge as they beat Kentucky at Rupp Arena. It will be a really tough challenge this year, even with it being at home.
