The UFC will break new ground in Southeastern Europe this summer.

The octagon is heading to Serbia for a Fight Night event on Aug. 1 at Belgrade Arena, promotion officials announced Monday. No fights have been officially announced for the card.

Current standout Serbian fighters on the UFC roster include 13th-ranked welterweight Uros Medic (13-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC), who's on a three-fight knockout streak, most recently a Performance of the Night over Geoff Neal at UFC Fight Night 267 in February.

Although on a four-fight losing skid, No. 12-ranked UFC light heavyweight Aleksandar Rakic (14-6 MMA, 6-5 UFC) has long been a staple in the division. He was most recently stopped by Azamat Murzakanov at UFC 321 last July. Also of Serbian descent is Dana White's Contender Series graduate Dusko Todorovic (13-6 MMA, 4-6 UFC), who snapped a three-fight losing skid with a submission of Jose Medina at UFC Fight Night 259 this past September.
