The final main event of 2025 is set after Brandon Royval and Manel Kape made weight for Saturday's UFC on ESPN 73 showdown.
Royval (17-8 MMA, 7-4 UFC) and Kape (21-7 MMA, 6-3 UFC) will battle for flyweight contender positioning in a five-round bout at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas after Joshua Van shook up the weight class with his injury TKO win over Alexandre Pantoja.
It's not 100 percent clear what will happen next in the title picture, which mean the headliners have a prime opportunity.
They handled business on the scale at Friday's official weigh-ins, with Royval hitting 126 pounds within the first nine minutes of the one-hour session, while Kape was last on the card to weigh in at the buzzer, registering at 126 pounds.
