The Ultimate Fighting Championship is known for its superstar athletes and champions including Jon Jones, who is widely known as the GOAT (Greatest of All-Time) of Dana White's popular fight league.
Jones is known for his 28-1 career MMA record which includes a disqualification loss to Matt 'The Hammer' Hamill and arguably his closest win, which came on September 21, 2013 against Swedish light heavyweight Alexander 'The Mauler' Gustafsson by unanimous decision.
The fight earned Gustafson the respect of the UFC and MMA fan communities worldwide as millions of people thought he won the fight.
On Friday, Gustafson's plans for a potential return to the world of mixed martial arts were revealed after nearly three full years on the shelf.

"I've been training," Gustaffson said.
"Now I'm just waiting to see what they say and take it from there," he said to Comeon Sports.
"I don't know the status of the GFL (Global Fight League). I'm just hoping they get it sorted. Am I confident? I don't actually know. Let's see. I'll be training.
"I'm in camp, so I've been training, but let's see what's next for GFL."
Once a promising title contender, Gustafsson has lost his last four fights and has fought just four times since 2018, his rematch against Jones.
At 6-foot-4, 205 pounds with speed and precision striking, Gustafsson has the skill set to make a strong return to the fight game. He is currently 38 years of age, younger than several recent MMA champions.
He said that he is interested in potentially taking a fight in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
"I'm in shape. Let's see what offer I get. I would talk it through with the team and see what the best move is. I haven't personally spoken to BKFC or (part owner) Conor McGregor, but there have been discussions with my team about it. I don't have much to say on it," Gustafsson said.
"I'm just focused on my training and whatever happens, happens. I'll be ready for whatever we decide to do. Will I fight this year? Absolutely.
"I hope that if I get the right offer, I'll be back 100 percent."
