Connecticut basketball might shorthanded for Monday, April 6's NCAA championship against Michigan.

The junior guard was in a walking boot for Sunday's practice and did not participate. Coach Dan Hurley told media that Ball sprained his foot early in Saturday's 71-62 win over Illinois. Ball played 28 minutes and scored 13 points in the victory. He played 16 minutes in the second half.

Hurley said Ball's status for Monday's game would be re-evaluated tomorrow.

Ball has started all 38 games this season for UConn and is averaging 12.9 points per game, 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.

Ball has spent his entire three-year college career with the Huskies.
