Bob Chesney is already injecting fresh energy into the UCLA Bruins football team. The Bruins will begin a new era this year, and Chesney will be laying the foundation for what this team will become.

One area of focus this season for Chesney will be ensuring that Nico Iamaleava, the starting quarterback, has the best chance for success. Chesney is hoping a transfer receiver, Brian Rowe, can help with that.

In a recent article, Brad Crawford provides insight on a weapon for the UCLA Bruins that is going unnoticed. Here is what he said about Brian Rowe:

"One of two impact pass-catchers South Carolina lost this offseason to other Power Four programs, Rowe recorded 19 catches for the Gamecocks as a freshman last fall and opted for a bigger role with the Bruins. He's expected to be one of three transfer starters on the outside for Bob Chesney during his first season and was a top playmaker during the spring. Rowe flexed some of that athletic ability in spots as flash moments at his previous stop, but should be able to show his full repertoire this fall with extensive snaps for the first time in his career."

The Trojans game vs their rival, the Bruins, will come at the end of the season, and that could be more than enough time for Nico Iamaleava and Brian Rowe to form a lethal connection. With talent like this on offense for the Bruins, the final game of the season for the Trojans could end up being a classic shootout.
