The Alabama Crimson Tide comes into the Women's College World Series as the top seed facing the UCLA Bruins on Thursday evening.

This year has been special for the Tide, who ended the 2026 season with a 53-7 record. However, the Bruins have hit a hot streak as of late and are dangerous coming into this tournament.

For Alabama, the 16th trip to the Women’s College World Series could start out sweet or turn sour. Having swept its regional and Super Regional rounds by allowing just one total run is impressive. On the other side, UCLA's offense is powerful and hasn’t scored less than seven runs in any of its NCAA tournament games. All but two have been double-digit affairs as well.
