That'll teach me to pick a team I've barely seen over one I know well. I picked OSU to beat Oregon and St. Louis, only game I've got wrong but I had them winning 2.

Oregon looked good but Artis is visibly limping, that foot isn't healed.

I did too, unfortunately it's not my only miss. I also went the wrong way with both Bucknell and Davidson which really hurts as it also leaves me with an unwinnable matchup in the next round.

Pac-12 went 3-0 today. Not bad considering some (including our President) picked them to be 0-5 after the first round.

Good thing I picked all the Pac 12 teams to advance in my bracket :D Seriously though...the Pac 12 seems to get dissed by the "experts" every year anyways

Good game. Perimeter defense was very good in the first half. Probably the best all season. Nice to see us take a large lead into the 2nd half and expand upon it. Helps that we slaughtered Belmont on the boards. Have to limit turnovers, but many of those were the product of the officials buying into the flopping Belmont was selling. I loved Gottlieb's comment during the game, "This flopping is something a Duke player would be proud of."

Good think I had Zona beating New Mexico next round.. Pac-12 impressive so far, and MWC under-achieving again.

Alford is not a good post-season coach.

:self:

Harvard? Really?!?! Wow...

The things that concern me about Harvard is they kill clock and are well coached. However, if we make them play our pace, we'll win.

Harvard won at Cal this year. Won't be an easy game.

Fantastic team rebounding. Arizona killed it on the glass, a 42-15 rebounding edge, unreal.

This was an emotional win for Harvard. First tourney win in team history. However, their top three players played 40, 40, and 39 minutes, and have to play a day and a half later against a more athletic Arizona team. I suspect that they are going to be gassed physically and mentally.

Or on the biggest high they'll ever experience in their lifetime. Either or.

Barkley "Arizona is loaded." Can this Sun Devil jump on the bandwagon?

Arizona is pretty loaded but Barkley also said the Mountain West conference was better than the Big 10 so I wouldn't put too much stock in his college basketball insights.

I wonder where Howland will land? I think he'll do well at the right school, somewhere like NAU but I doubt he'll ever get a chance at another of the premier programs. I guess there's always a chance that UCLA will give him another season given that his team won the regular season title and had to limp into the tourney minus a key weapon but it's not likely. I figure he's gone by mid-week.

I doubt he would go to that level - where he started. He stills has built three programs, Final Fours, and tons of recruiting connections. Another major college would hire him in a minute.

I think he's a good coach when he's working with true student athletes but he doesn't really benefit commensurately from the kind of talent that a school such as UCLA can bring in. Yeah be might not go all the way back to the NAU level but I really don't see him at one of the programs that serve as a minor league to the NBA. I could see him at a school such as Nebraska but not at a Kentucky. IOW, major college perhaps but major basketball program, doubtful.
