Denver defeated Toronto, 96-89, on Sunday in a NBA Summer League consolation game at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Former Vol Tyreke Key started for the Raptors and played 21 minutes. He scored seven points and converted 3-of-7 field goal attempts and 1-of-3 three-point attempts. Key also recorded three rebounds and two assists.
Nimari Burnett led Toronto in scoring with 15 points in 20 minutes. Jahmi'us Ramsey led all scorers with 20 points for the Nuggets.
Toronto outrebounded Denver, 42-38. The Nuggets' largest lead was 14 points.
Key played at Tennessee as a fifth-year senior during the 2022-23 season after transferring from Indiana State. He appeared in 33 games, including 15 starts. Key averaged 8.2 points per game for the Vols.
Following his one season at Tennessee, he played professionally in Belgium during the 2023-24 campaign. Key signed with Raptors 905, Toronto's NBA G League affiliate at the beginning of the 2024-25 season.
