Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow
The Los Angeles Dodgers will get Blake Snell back this week, and Tyler Glasnow is not far behind him.
Glasnow made his first rehab appearance with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday. He had made a previous appearance with Single-A Ontario. On Sunday, Glasnow went 2 2/3 innings, allowing one earned run and allowing one hit and one walk. He struck out two batters.
During his outing with Single-A Ontario, he threw just 16 pitches to get through two innings, and 12 of them went for strikes. On Sunday, his workload saw a big increase. He threw 47 pitches and landed 26 for strikes.
Getting him built up to start games in the big leagues will be the most important thing for the Dodgers right now. He has not pitched in a big league game since May 6 with a back injury.

Glasnow had made seven starts before going on the injured list, but threw just one inning in his last start. He had a 2.72 ERA and 49 strikeouts this year before the injury. Now, he will look to come back and help the Dodgers get things back on track.
Entering play on Monday, the Dodgers have lost eight of their last nine games and could use some help in the rotation. Snell's return will give them a boost, but given that Justin Wrobleski has struggled in two straight starts and that Shohei Ohtani is still not pitching, Glasnow could be a huge help.
The Dodgers have fallen behind the Atlanta Braves for the No. 2 seed, but a rotation featuring Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tarik Skubal, Snell, Glasnow and Roki Sasaki could help them reclaim a first-round bye.
