Two World Cup squads will be based in Palm Beach County during the group stage of the tournament, FIFA announced this week.

Global superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and the Portuguese team will be based in Palm Beach Gardens, while the Curacao national team will be based in Boca Raton.

Portugal, the No. 5 team in FIFA’s rankings, will train at the Gardens North County District Park. Curacao, the No. 82 team, will be based at FAU.

Team Base Camps are an integral part of the fabric of any FIFA World Cup™,” World Cup Chief Operating Officer Heimo Schirgi said in a press release. “They are where teams put down roots, train and recuperate, and experience the day-to-day rhythms of the tournament.”

Curacao will host a practice at FAU’s football stadium that will be open to the public on June 11 from 6-7:30 p.m, FAU announced on Thursday. Admission and parking are free. Portugal has not announced any training sessions that are open to the public.

Portugal is slated to play one of its three group stage matches at Hard Rock Stadium. It will face Colombia in Miami on June 27. Portugal’s other two group-stage matches are in Houston.

Curacao will not play in Miami in the group stage. It will play its first match in Houston, its second in Kansas City and third in Philadelphia.

Miami will host three group-stage matches in addition to Portugal vs. Colombia: Saudi Arabia vs. Uruguay on June 15, Uruguay vs. Cabo Verde on June 21 and Scotland vs. Brazil on June 24. Miami will also host the Round of 32 matchup between the Group J winner and Group H runner-up on July 3, a quarterfinal match on July 11 and the bronze-medal match on July 18.
