Wisconsin may need to go back to the drawing board at wide receiver in the transfer portal, as targets Keelan Marion and Karmello English committed to Miami and Coastal Carolina, respectively, on Saturday evening.

Marion, first, was offered by Wisconsin back on April 21. The rising sixth-year senior spent the last two seasons at BYU after beginning his career at UConn. He originally broke out with 28 catches, 474 yards and five touchdowns as a redshirt freshman with the Huskies in 2021 before missing the 2022 season due to injury. After transferring to BYU, Marion excelled even further, totaling 106 touches, 1,261 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns over two years with the program. Those totals do not include his All-American stat line as a kick returner: 38 returns over two seasons for 881 yards and two return touchdowns.

The four-star transfer prospect and top-ranked wide receiver did not visit Wisconsin during his transfer process.

English, next, appeared to be one of the Badgers' top transfer targets at the position. The West Georgia transfer visited Wisconsin early last week. While he had also set up a visit to Cal, it's the Sun Belt's Coastal Carolina that earned his commitment.

The wide receiver originally began his career at Michigan in 2023, where he signed as a four-star recruit and the No. 26 wide receiver in the country. He caught just one pass for a four-yard touchdown that season before transferring to West Georgia, where he broke out in 2024 with 48 catches, 693 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Wisconsin is looking to fill a depth role in its wide receiver rotation. That role likely differs from where he slots in Coastal Carolina's depth chart.

Wisconsin is looking for receiver depth after the spring transfer departures of Mark Hamper and Quincy Burroughs. The program reportedly offered Hawaii transfer wideout Dekel Crowdus on Saturday, indicating a further pursuit with Marion and English now off the board.
