After re-signing head coach Steve Kerr to a two-year extension, the Warriors' front office has made their intentions of building around star guard Stephen Curry clear.

However, big names like Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks) and Kawhi Leonard (Los Angeles Clippers) may be too difficult to land.

For that reason, here are two other stars linked to Golden State besides Antetokounmpo and Leonard.

2. Trey Murphy III (New Orleans Pelicans)

Although the former No. 17 overall selection has yet to make an NBA All-Star team, Trey Murphy III is one of the most underrated players in the Western Conference. Murphy III has averaged over 21 points per game in each of his past two seasons and shoots a career 38.2% from 3-point range on 6.7 attempts per game. Furthermore, the current Pelican continues to improve season by season. In each of his first five years, Murphy III's points, rebounds and assists have improved each season.

1. Michael Porter Jr. (Brooklyn Nets)

Another player yet to make an All-Star team, Michael Porter Jr. came close in his first season with the Brooklyn Nets last year. The 2022-23 NBA Champion posted a career-high 24.2 points per game, 7.1 rebounds and three assists. A career 39.8% 3-point shooter, Porter Jr. could thrive in Kerr's offense, especially while playing off of Curry. Additionally, given the rebuilding state of the Nets, it may be easy to convince them to move on from Porter Jr., especially considering he's on the final year of his contract.
