The Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl LX over the New England Patriots on Sunday night, and there were two former Notre Dame players who made big impacts.
Rookie defensive lineman Rylie Mills didn’t see much of the field throughout the season, but in limited opportunities made a few plays. He made the biggest one of his young career in the Super Bowl, getting his first-career sack on an extremely impressive play in the second quarter.
Later in the fourth quarter, safety Julian Love, who has had a very good career, stepped up and picked off a bad pass in the fourth quarter. It was great to see him making an impact, as this season has seen multiple injuries sideline him throughout the season.
The pair now join a club of over 44 former Notre Dame players according to 247Sports, who have won a Super Bowl title. Congrats to Rylie and Julian on the ultimate football achievement.
