Pat Fitzgerald’s first Michigan State season now comes with two standalone home stages. The Spartans will open 2026 against Toledo on Friday, Sept. 4 at 8 p.m. Eastern on FS1, and they will close the home schedule against Oregon on Friday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. on FOX.
That changes the shape of Year 1 for Fitzgerald, who was hired in December 2025 and enters 2026 as Michigan State’s new head coach, as detailed here.
