The 2026 WNBA Draft took place Monday night, and it saw two notable Duke alumni selected to join the league.

The first Blue Devil selected was two-time ACC All-Defensive selection Taina Mair. In her senior season with Duke last year, Mair posted a career-high 11.6 points to go along with 5.9 rebounds, 5.6 assists and a whopping 2.5 steals. Mair was taken with the No. 14 pick by the Seattle Storm. Additionally, Mair was the first Duke player chosen in the first round of the WNBA Draft since Lexie Brown was taken ninth overall in 2018.

Ashlon Jackson was the second former Blue Devil selected after posting 11.2 points, 4.6 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals in her senior season with Duke. Jackson was selected in the second round (23rd overall) by the Golden State Valkyries.

As the WNBA season tips off on May 8, all eyes will be on the former Blue Devils as they take the court with their new teams.
