There were some huge performances at the TSSAA spring state championships last week in Murfreesboro and Knoxville.
So who should be the Ponce Law Boys Athlete of the Week? You get to decide.

Weston Willeford, CPA: Willeford pitched all seven innings of CPA’s 6-0 win over Brentwood Academy in the DII-AA baseball state championship game, allowing three hits while striking out six batters and walking two.

Will Rooney, Brentwood Academy: Rooney’s three-run triple helped clinch an 7-2 win over Lipscomb Academy in eight innings, sending the Eagles to the Division II-AA baseball state championship game.
Mac McFarland, CPA: McFarland won the DII-AA track and field pole vault state title with a height of 16-00.
Eli Wharton, Davidson Academy: Wharton won the DII-A 1,600-meter run state championship with a time of 4:21.02. He also won the 3,200 with a time of 9:20.56.
Brock Murray, Hendersonville: Murray won the Class AAA track and field discus state championship with a throw of 168-03.
Gael Avila Alanis, Independence Academy: Alanis provided the go-ahead goal in Independence Academy’s 2-1 win over Gatlinburg-Pittman to repeat in the Class 1A soccer state championship.
Wyatt Boling, MLK Jr.: Boling won the Class AA track and field 1,600-meter run state championship with a time of 4:15.10 and was runner-up in the 800 with a time of 1:56.63.
Chester Burgess, Pearl-Cohn: Burgess won the Class A track and field shot put title with a throw of 169-09.
Connor Shave, Ravenwood: Shave’s winning save in penalty kicks secured Ravenwood’s first soccer state title. The Raptors had a 3-1 PK advantage against Bearden and won the Class AAA state championship 1-0.
Tucker Mayo, Richland: Mayo was 2-for-3 with four RBIs and a home run in Richland’s 11-6 win over Eagleville in the Class A baseball state championship game.
Ryan Hendon, Station Camp: Hendon scored the lone goal in Station Camp’s 1-0 win over South-Doyle to capture the Bison’s second straight Class AA soccer state championship.
Brian Perez, White House Heritage: Perez was solid in the Class 2A baseball state championship, throwing all seven innings of a 3-0 loss to Milan, with three hits allowed, two earned runs, seven strikeouts and four walks.
