Florida's trio of pitchers with the Team USA College National Team in training camp pitched on Sunday.

SEC Pitcher of the Year Aidan King got the start for the Stars in a 9-1 win over the Greenville Flyboys. He worked through some early trouble in the first, giving up a leadoff single and hitting a batter. He bounced back by striking out the side with strong command of his fastball and slider.

King worked around another hit in the second, striking out two more batters. Five of his six outs on the day came via strikes.

Barber pitched the eighth for the Stars. There was no bottom of the ninth, despite Greeneville being the hometown, so he was the de facto closer. He retired the side in order, striking out one batter looking. He touched 99 with his fastball and showed the 86-87 mph slider.

Whritenour closed out a 6-1 win for the Stripes in the eighth. He didn't give up any hits or runs, but there were some command issues. Only 13 of his 25 pitches were strikes, and he walked two batters. Whritenour also had one wild pitch that advanced a runner. He touched 97 mph with his fastball and threw his signature power slider up to 90 mph.

Florida Gators transfer portal movement

Seven Florida arms have entered the transfer portal: McCall Biemiller (NC State), Eli Blair (USF), Matthew Jenkins (Charlotte), Rivers Kurland, Cooper Moss (USF), Christian Rodriguez and Cooper Walls (Georgia). Starting second baseman Cade Kurland is headed to LSU, while Infielder Kolt Myers (Grand Canyon) and outfielder Blake Brookins are the two other position players to enter the transfer portal so far.

Florida earned its first transfer commitment from former FGCU catcher Jon Embury, the 2026 ASUN Player of the Year, on June 4, followed by Jacksonville State right-hander Maddox McDougall on June 9. Oregon State southpaw Trey Morris and Utah State infielder Kyle McDaniel committed on June 16, and FAU infielder and former Gator John Martinez announced his return to Gainesville on June 18. Right-hander Zach Edwards also made the jump from Oregon State to Florida on June 20.
