CHAMPAIGN — Tremont is the Class 1A baseball state champion.
The Turks won the program's first state title with a 10-0 five-inning victory over Putnam County on Saturday, June 13 at Illinois Field in Champaign. This gives Tremont its highest finish in program history, topping 2011's Class 1A state fourth place.
