It's a homecoming for cornerback Tre’Davious White signing a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills per ESPN senior insider Adam Scheftler. The move brings the former All-Pro back to where his NFL journey began.

The deal confirmed by Schefler with White’s agents Kevin Connor and Robert Brown of Universal Sports Management, is reportedly worth $8.5 million with incentives. This reunites White with the team that drafted him 27th overall in 2017 out of LSU, offering him a chance to revitalize his career after recent injury setbacks.

The Bills had a huge need in their secondary after losing Rasul Douglas in free agency and trading Kiiar Elam to the Dallas Cowboys. Pairing White with Christian Benford, he strengthens a defense eyeing another AFC East title. White’s familiarity with Sean McDermott’s system and his drive to prove himself post-injury make this signing a perfect fit.

Bills and CB Tre White reached agreement today on a one-year deal worth up to $6.8 million, per his agents Kevin Conner and Robert Brown of @UniSportsMgmt. White now returns to Buffalo, where he played from 2017-‘23 and was a two-time Pro-Bowl selection.

White, 30, spent his first seven seasons with the Bills, earning All-Pro honors in 2019 and Pro Bowl nods in 2019 and 2020. His lockdown coverage and leadership helped Buffalo’s defense rank among the league’s elite, with 18 career interceptions and 68 passes defended. However, injuries sidelined him with an ACL tear in 2021 and an Achilles rupture in 2023 limiting him to just 21 games over three seasons. After spending time on both the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens rosters in 2024 he became a free agent.
