The Kansas City Chiefs’ last appearance on the football field left a bitter taste, as they suffered a 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX this past February in New Orleans.
Now, with the 2025 season on the horizon and rookie minicamps kicking off across the league, anticipation is building for the Chiefs to return to action—especially with Travis Kelce confirming his return after briefly contemplating retirement.
Kelce has been spending some time away from the spotlight with his globally famous girlfriend, Taylor Swift. The two have been enjoying the offseason together, and in no time, Swift will likely be back cheering him on at a packed Arrowhead Stadium.
Swift has been warmly embraced by Chiefs Kingdom over the past two seasons. Recently, even Pro Bowl offensive lineman Trey Smith shared a strong—and somewhat surprising—statement about Swift, revealing just how kind and genuine she is.
“Just talking to her—she really is a beautiful human being," Smith said. "She’s awesome. She’s super nice, she’s thoughtful, she’s kind. She remembered my name, my sister’s name, after meeting us months earlier. The biggest thing is just how nice of a person she is.”
Chiefs and Swift fans reacted to the kind words by Smith:
"Travis' teammates have loved her from the jump. They all say a version of the same thing-she is kind, humble, and will remember your family and their names," a fan said.
"Genuine Person," another fan posted.
"Someone else added, "The cutest in the world."
One more fan commented, "I love Trey Smith! JUST another guy who has met her & can speak truth about meeting her. Not 1 person, who has met her, says anything negative about her."
