However, the Wizards played on Monday and Young didn't take the court, but still managed to add a tally in one stat category from the bench.
Trae Young accomplishes bizarre feat on Monday before even debuting with Wizards
The Wizards played the Rockets on Monday night, and Young managed to get ejected from the game, despite not playing.
NBA referee Tony Brothers issued Young a technical foul for running on the court, which led to his ejection from the game.
Young has played in just 10 games this season, with his last appearance coming on Dec. 27, over two months ago.
Since then, he was traded by the Hawks to the Wizards, but he has missed 24 straight games since joining the team.
That streak will come to an end when he debuts on Thursday, but it's still hilarious that he managed to get an ejection before he even played a game with the Wizards.
