Trae Young's 2021 first-round playoff series win over the New York Knicks carries less significance these days after the Knicks just became NBA champions. Someone who hasn't made it past the first round since that series doesn't move the needle much anymore.

But if Knicks fans needed any extra help getting past their disdain for Young, the former Atlanta Hawks guard is doing his part to help. Making an appearance at Fanatics Fest over the weekend, Young brought out a Jalen Brunson jersey that he intended to rip in front of the crowd of fans.

However, that struggling attempt failed, leaving Young to simply toss the still-intact jersey away. It was a tough scene.

Young's jersey snafu came after he posted a video on Instagram of himself riding around New York watching the replay of his 2021 win over the Knicks.

On X, Young said "I just be trolling sometimes," and that he's "happy for some of my boys over there."

Now a member of the Washington Wizards, it's probably time Young stop trolling the Knicks and focus on making some new memories for fans to remember him by.
