The NFL schedule is set to be released on Thursday, with a made-for-TV event at 8 p.m. Eastern. While all 18 weeks will be made official during the release, there will be leaks, reports, and updates along the way. As we do every year, we will keep up with the latest rumors and possible schedule for the Miami Dolphins up to the release.

We do already know that this year’s schedule will kickoff on Wednesday, September 9, when the Seattle Seahawks, as the defending Super Bowl champion, will host someone in a primetime game on NBC. The opponent has not been announced. The next night, the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams will face off from Australia, with the game on Netflix.

Week 1’s Sunday Night Game was announced yesterday, with the Dallas Cowboys visiting the New York Giants. The week will then end with the Denver Broncos at the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday.

We also already know Week 2 will start with the Buffalo Bills showcasing their new stadium as they host the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football. Week 3 will include the Baltimore Ravens and the Cowboys in a game in Brazil.

We also have several international game host teams slotted into a week, though we do not have the other side of those matchups. In Week 4, the Washington Commanders play in London, while the Jacksonville Jaguars will play there the following week. In Week 6, Jacksonville stays in London to face the Houston Texans.

Jumping to Week 10, the Lions will play in Munich, then in Week 11, the San Francisco 49ers will play in Mexico City.

Finally, we know the Week 12 Thanksgiving games will include the Philadelphia Eagles at the Cowboys.

Our partners at FanDuel Sportsbook have updated their odds of the AFC East division title for 2026. Not surprisingly, the Buffalo Bills hold the top spot, with the New England Patriots still in second. The New York Jets are third while the Dolphins are well behind.

The NFL has made it a tradition that division rivalries will be held during the final week of the season. Miami visited the Patriots in the 2025 season finale, making it unlikely they would have the same matchup, though it is possible. Looking back over the past several seasons, the matchup that has not been used in the finale the longest is the Dolphins at the Bills.
