Roberto De Zerbi is at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Tottenham Hotspur have submitted an official £85 million offer to Manchester City for Brazilian winger Savinho, according to Globo Esporte.

However, Manchester City executives are refusing to approve a sale until a replacement is secured.

The ‘incredible’ 22-year-old Brazil international is determined to complete the move to North London and has increased pressure on his current club. Savinho skipped Thursday’s training session, signalling his intent to leave the Etihad Stadium in search of regular first-team football. He sees a move to Spurs as the ideal environment to further his development under Roberto De Zerbi.

De Zerbi has already overseen a major squad overhaul exceeding £230m but maintains that Tottenham’s rebuild is incomplete without further attacking reinforcements.

Driven by a desire for regular football, Savinho has prioritised a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

With personal terms broadly agreed between Tottenham and Savinho’s representatives, the final step depends on Manchester City sanctioning the move.

Meanwhile, City are focused on their pursuit of Enzo Fernandez after Chelsea issued an ultimatum regarding when a deal for the World Cup winner can be finalised.

The Cityzens have already made an offer to Chelsea, but it falls short of the Blues’ £120m valuation.

Spurs also have other items on their transfer agenda, including Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo, who can play as a winger or as a striker.

The North Londoners want to wrap up their summer business in good time for their Premier League opener against Brentford on August 22.

With a lucrative offer on the table and City needing funds to boost their own transfer activity, a deal for Savinho appears to be drawing closer.
