Toriano Pride's 40 time draws NFL Draft attention to rising star with great name originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Toriano Pride Jr. has one of the best names in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Turns out, after watching him run the 40-yard dash on Friday, he's also one of the fastest players in the entire draft class at the NFL Combine this weekend in Indianapolis.
Pride was a star cornerback for the Missouri Tigers.
He is originally from East St. Louis, where he was a four-star high school recruit, top-100 in his class.
Pride had scholarship offers from Auburn, Ohio State and Oregon, but he chose Clemson to begin his career.
After two seasons at Clemson, Pride transferred to Mizzou.
The 5-foot-11, 188-pound CB played 26 games for Missouri and intercepted four passes, two in each of the last two seasons.
In both 2024 and 2025, Pride returned an interception for a touchdown.
He made 46 combined tackles across his two seasons with Mizzou.
That'll all be nice for NFL teams to see. But they'll love what he did in the 40.

As of that point in time, it was the fastest 40 time that had been recorded this weekend.
The 40-yard dash isn't everything, but it matters. Pride likely raised his stock with a run like that.
