Most of the top 50 recruits in the 2026 college hoops class were already committed at this stage of the game, but Alex Constanza's decision remained one of the largest dominoes yet to fall in the early summer.
Constanza backed out of his commitment to Georgetown in April, which opened the door for major programs like Illinois, Florida and Alabama to sweeten their initial offers.
Instead, Pepperdine emerged and secured the tantalizing 6-foot-8 forward in a major development for the Waves.
Constanza figures to be an interesting player to keep an eye on, both from a college basketball impact standpoint and a professional prospect angle.
The South Florida native attended SPIRE Academy and was the No. 2-ranked player in the state of Ohio.
