There has been plenty of news regarding Notre Dame and its pursuit of a 2028 quarterback, as its top target has made multiple big moves over the last few days.
With Trey Tagliaferri now off to Oklahoma, the lone prospect with an Irish offer, Lukas Prock, turned into the main target of attention. He’s recently talked extremely highly of Notre Dame and most likely will make a commitment earlier than anticipated.
With all of that in mind, on Saturday afternoon Prock announced via On3’s Hayes Fawcett his top-5, which included the Irish, Indiana, Michigan, Florida and Ohio State. At this moment, it looks like the Buckeyes, Wolverines and Notre Dame have the best shot at landing him.
Prock had a monster sophomore season, completing 73.1% of his 309 attempts for 4,330-yards with 41 touchdowns to just 7 interceptions according to MaxPreps.com. Against powerhouse IMG Academy, he completed 74.3% of his passes for 346-yards but didn’t throw a touchdown with 2 interceptions.
As one of the top pocket passers in high school, he’s ranked as the No. 69 overall prospect, and No. 6 quarterback in the 247Sports Composite. Hopefully Prock sees everything Notre Dame has to offer and can’t say no.
