On Thursday of the NFL combine, the defensive ends were one of the position groups to go through the on-field testing portion of the event. This position is one of the bigger needs that the Jacksonville Jaguars have to address this offseason.

Depth is needed here, but also, down the stretch last season, the Jaguars struggled to generate consistent pressure on the quarterback from the defensive tackle position.

Below are the top defensive tackle performers from each NFL combine event.

Top 5 NFL combine defensive tackles in 40-yard dash​

  • Zane Durant, Penn State: 4.75
  • Kaleb Proctor, Southeastern Louisiana: 4.79
  • Gracen Halton, Oklahoma: 4.82
  • DeMonte Capehart, Clemson: 4.85
  • David Gusta, Kentucky: 4.88
