It's officially the offseason in the NBA, which means it's time for player rankings. It's a debate that many participate in as everybody has their preferences for what they look for in a player and what they value. After an entertaining 2025-26 season and a heart pounding 2026 NBA finals, now is the time to see where players land in the league.

Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey had one helluva season as he averaged 28.3 points, 6.6 assists, and 4.1 rebounds while shooting 46.2% from the floor and 36.7% from deep. He was named an All-Star for the second time in his career, the first time as a starter, and grew as a leader both on the court and in the locker room.

The Ringer ranked the top 100 players in the league and Maxey comes in ranked No. 15:

The Sixers beat the Celtics in the first round, then got blown out by the Knicks in the second. Maxey was fine throughout, but the chaos around him was too much to overcome. Maxey demonstrated his prowess as a scorer, but his numbers naturally dipped in the face of better defenses designing game plans to stifle his production. After 11 games, he led his team in points and assists, but his role as the team’s primary offensive force wavered based on the inconsistent availability of Joel Embiid, who led the Sixers in usage in the seven games he played.

As the Sixers move forward with this core, they will be relying on Maxey to lead the way and get Philadelphia in contention conversations. They have the talent to get it done, but they need some luck in the injury department moving forward.
