Togo: Patrice Neveu appointed as national team coach (official)
At last, the Togo national team has found its new head coach. It is Patrice Neveu. The announcement was made via an official statement released on February 19, 2026.
The statement read: "The Togolese Football Federation (FTF) is pleased to announce to the sporting public and fans of the Hawks in Togo that Mr. Patrice Neveu has been appointed as the new national coach to lead the senior national team."
The statement also noted that the new Hawks coach is expected to arrive in Lomé in the coming hours to finalize the details of his contract.
Patrice Neveu is a 71-year-old French coach and is considered one of the leading experts in African football, having previously managed the national teams of Guinea Conakry, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and most recently Gabon from 2019 to 2023.
