If you are a Cards' fan and have something to say, I'll publish you. You must be willing to accept criticism. Some people won't like you, regardless of what you write.

Just do the best you can and if you make a mistake, admit it and get on with life.

I once described the counter-trey play and had the RB running through the wrong gap. People gigged me on it. Oops. I knew better. Brain fart. My bad.

Harry Greene, Jo Sparkes, Ericka Lassiter, and I (Jim Skane) have written most of the Cardinals articles that don't deal with evaluating players.

Harry Greene (again), Ed Burmila, Dave Madlom (who is covering the Senior Bowl for us again) and Jeff Gollin (http://www.azcardinal.com/) are our main draft/player analysis contributors and they do a phenomenal job.

Others like Chris (ajcardfan), Dirk (EndZone), Alan Schuster (Alan), Mike Olbinski (ChandlerMike), Mike (MadCardDisease), and others whose names escape me, contribute from time to time.

I think we have the best group of Cardinals' writers and the most knowledgeable football fans on the planet. Harry Greene recently made a mistake of fact in his last article and a bunch of you caught it immediately. No dummies here. You hold us to a high standard.

There are so many excellent posts on the message board, not a day goes by that I'm not tempted to message someone and ask them to write for the front page.

So, please, if you have a point to make that's worthy of publishing, put it in 'Submit News" on the front page, or e-mail it to me.

I'm sure Harry, Ed, Jo, and the others would agree: you guys and girls make this effort worthwhile. Thank you.

Happy New Year and Go Cardinals!

Jim Skane

Why not contact them when you think it is good? Maybe they don't realize they are talented enough to contribute to page 1.

Keep up the good work Jim. I can't speak for all but I certainly appreciate all you do to bring us together.

Thats all right ni we are all in this gutter of mediocre football dreams...I don't mind getting dumped on in the name of futility. I went to the movies and saw Gangs of New York and the gutter those rats lived in. And it struck me that no matter how big a rat you are ...you can be the king of the Rats...but your still a rat. I hope our team can get out of this gutter because they are most suredly the king of the rats.

No not quite, if you want a tougher article, write it. You don't understand the point of the article

Jo trys to show a different viewpoint. I just reread it and you know what it does capture what I have been feeling.

The article isn't critical of players or coaches, Jo leaves that to others, she is writing about how she feels.

I mean can you honestly say that Martz looked good ripping his QB on the sideline ? And before you talk about the SBs he has won, you know it's starting to look like Vermil had a lot to do with that isn't it.

Just for the record, when she is talking about players and coaches she is not as polite but that never makes to the website and that may be a good thing.

Jo is a much nicer person than I am, it may have something to do with knowing how to use semicolons, as I obviously don't

NIdan and more importantly JO ...I apologize for the "off the cuff" remarks about the letter. I to reread it and while not fully mesmerized by its contents the effort was admirable. I was totally wrong in criticing it harshly for I felt it to be to feminine for a football web page. But I honestly did not know Jo was a female and I have fatal flaw in that sensitivity is not my strong point. Again sorry. I to can't seem to use semi colons or any other sort of punctuation.......another flaw

Portland Oregon these days.
Criticism

Please don't worry about it -- anybody! It's not that big of a deal.

Believe me, I've had rougher criticism from people who affect my pay check. By comparison, this is a little training camp before the real season.

And Rats, I gotta admit -- the reason my articles don't appear on Mondays this season is because I need a few days to recover before I can write with any sense of humor.

BUT NEXT YEAR, CARDINALS IN THE SUPERBOWL!

Just ask Dan Tooker.
