The Tennessee Titans took to the field on Thursday for the second practice of their 2026 season. While this was not a padded practice, there was still some action, and competition began at key positions.
While there was a little less coverage today, some of those in attendance did a masterful job of keeping fans informed on social media. Here at Titans Wire, we are focused on bringing all of those social media pieces together in a way that creates a snapshot from the practice and how the players performed.
JC Latham was activated from the PUP list and is again working on the side with some trainers. Calvin Ridley (illness) and Mitch Trubisky (tightness) returned to practice and slid into the rotation.
In all, it was a solid day within the confines of the NFL acclimation period, and the countdown to pads and the real competition has begun. Here are some of the standouts mentioned on the first day of practice.
While the unit wasn’t bad on Day 1, they were much better on Day 2. Especially at the linebacker position, where Cedric Gray, James Williams, and Anthony Hill all made plays that made the offense uncomfortable.
In his first three seasons, Spears has flashed his potential. But now with a real play caller in Brian Daboll and a system that can utilize his skill set, he could be a big weapon for Cam Ward.
Through two days of camp, Ayomanor has been one of the highlights. The second-year receiver pulled in another touchdown and has shown tremendous growth. Even though Calvin Ridley returned, Ayomanor showed no signs of slowing down.
After struggling against Jermaine Johnson on Day 1, Moore bounced back and had a stronger showing against Johnson on Day 2. This is a good sign for the offense, which needs him to lock down Cam Ward’s blindside.
Once again, this practice was held without pads, making it hard to see how the physicality will impact the competition. Luckily, the acclimation period is almost over, and the real work can begin.
