Something has been brewing in the air for a while now.

That is, projections forecasting Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love to be selected by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.

Nothing has changed in Bleacher Report’s most recent 2026 NFL mock draft. The B/R NFL Draft Scouting Department once again has Love landing with the Titans at No. 4 overall.

The New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs, who own the eighth and ninth overall picks, respectively, immediately invested in veteran running backs at the onset of this year's free agency. Prior to that point, they were considered the favorites to select Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love. Instead, their actions indicate neither believes he'll be available later in the process.

Meanwhile, the Tennessee Titans need offensive help in the worst way, and Love can enter the lineup as the unit's focal point.

"The improvement of Cam Ward's offensive ecosystem should be high on the Titans' to-do list," Parson said. "Love is an elite prospect with a special combination of running and receiving traits to impact the game on all three downs. He is an explosive homerun threat anytime he touches the football but still runs with enough power and contact balance to churn through longer drives. Ward doesn't need to be thrust into a Superman role this early in his career, while Love can serve as his Batman."

Love’s patented spin move is not the only strength that has cemented him as a projected top-five pick in most recent offseason forecasts. The 20-year-old’s performance at the 2026 NFL Combine also helped him earn recognition as perhaps the best prospect in this year’s draft class.

The Titans have room for an elite outside wide receiver to play opposite Calvin Ridley next season. Ohio State WR Carnell Tate makes sense for Tennessee, as do edge rushers David Bailey (Texas Tech) and Rueben Bain Jr. (Miami) to address their need at defensive end.

However, Love is viewed as a special talent with the potential to transform a franchise’s entire rushing attack. The two-time 1,000-yard rusher at Notre Dame, who most recently rushed for 1,372 yards in 2025, would be a strong fit for the Titans to pair with quarterback Cam Ward next season.
