The Tennessee Titans have been busy since the start of free agency. They had the most cap space to work with, so it's unsurprising that they tried to get players to fill gaps. They brought in Wan'Dale Robinson, Daniel Bellinger, Jermaine Johnson, and Jordan Elliot, to name a few, while trading T'Vondre Sweat and allowing Chig Okonkwo and others to hit the free agency market.

So far, the roster absolutely looks better on paper. But paper doesn't always translate into reality, and the Titans are well aware of this fact. That is why they announced today that they signed wide receiver K.J. Osborn.

Osborn was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He didn't record any stats until 2021, though, and was on the active roster for the next three seasons. He signed with the New England Patriots in March 2024 and was waived in December 2024 after appearing in just seven games.

Shortly after his release, Osborn was claimed off waivers by the Washington Commanders and signed a one-year contract in March 2025. The Commanders released him as part of roster cuts in August 2025, and he signed with the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad that November.

Osborn's one-year deal will give him an opportunity to prove that he deserves a roster spot with the Titans during the offseason, but is in no way a guarantee that he will make the final 53-man roster. We will see many more of these deals come through the pipeline as the draft nears and OTAs ramp up, and even more after the draft concludes as teams want to evaluate as many players as they can.
