The Tennessee Titans had a travel day after returning from the West Coast and will return to practice on Saturday to begin preparing for their second preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. Although the players had a quieter day, the coaching staff was busy working through the tape, and head coach Robert Saleh took some time to hold a Zoom call with some members of the media.

While Saleh failed to have any injury updates on Jaylen Harrell (knee) or Jaren Kanak (pec), he did break down some of the stuff he noticed from the matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, and one area he was pleased with was the starting offensive line, specifically rookie Fernando Carmona and JC Latham.

Saleh said the offensive line showed up well in the run game and in the passing game. But he said the team still has several weeks to evaluate players. Specifically, Saleh said right guard Fernando Carmona played well, and so did tackle JC Latham. "JC had a great game," Saleh said.

This evaluation and Saleh's comments align with what most who watched the game thought happened: the right side of the offensive line came to play. While some will undoubtedly point out the fact that this performance was against the 49ers' backups, the reality is that Carmona and Latham did exactly what you want to see when the starters face backups, and this was a great sign moving forward.
