Tennessee Titans defensive back Mike Brown honored his cousin Marshawn Kneeland during his pregame walk to the locker room on Nov. 16 at Nissan Stadium.
Brown wore Kneeland's No. 94 Dallas Cowboys jersey ahead of the Titans' game against the Houston Texans.
Kneeland, the Cowboys second-year defensive end, died on Nov. 6 of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in Texas.
Kneeland's body was discovered early on Nov. 6 in Frisco, Texas, during a search after Kneeland fled on foot following a crash on a highway. Police and Texas state troopers had pursued Kneeland for an apparent traffic violation. According to emergency response audio from police posted by The Dallas Morning News, Kneeland had sent a goodbye text to family and friends.
The 24-year-old was a second-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by Dallas out of Western Michigan. He had scored a touchdown on a blocked punt in the Cowboys' Nov. 3 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
