Justin Verlander is heading to the 2026 MLB All-Star Game.

No, that is not a typo.

The Detroit Tigers legend has made just one start for the Tigers this season as he has battled a nightmare season of injuries, but was selected by MLB commissioner Rob Manfred as a "Legend Pick."

Three-time Cy Young Award winner, two-time World Series Champion, 2011 American League MVP, and 2006 AL Rookie of the Year Justin Verlander has been named to the AL roster as a “Legend Pick” for the 2026 All-Star Game, Commissioner of Baseball Robert D. Verlander re-signed with the Tigers before the season on a one-year, $13 million deal that carried $11 million in deferred money.

Verlander's lone start this year came back on March 30, when he allowed 5 runs in 3 2/3 innings and was placed on the injured list shortly after.

The game will take place on Tuesday, July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

This is a breaking news story that will be updated.
